Home/Security/Access Control

Security & ELV

Control who enters, where they enter and when they can enter

Keys get copied and nobody knows who has them. Access control replaces that with permissions you can grant, revoke and audit.

How it works

Four decisions behind every controlled door

An access system is not a lock with a card reader. It is a set of decisions about which doors matter, who may pass them, how a person proves who they are, and what record is kept.

Get those right and the system is invisible in daily use and useful the moment a question arises. Get them wrong and staff prop the door open.

Access points — which doors are controlled, and which are not

Authorisation — who may pass, through which door, at what hours

Authentication — card, keypad or biometric, chosen per door

Entry management — door hardware matched to the door and its traffic

Monitoring — a record of every movement, available when needed

Applications

Where access control earns its cost

Any property where "who was in that room" is a question that could reasonably be asked.

Offices

Entry by role and by hour, so the server room is not open to every building pass.

Card · Keypad · Biometric

Estates

Gatehouse control with resident, staff and visitor entry managed at one point.

Gate control · Visitor records

Commercial properties

Stockrooms, back offices and cash areas separated from the public floor.

Zoned access · Audit trail

Facilities

Zoned clearance across areas, with an auditable record per zone.

Zoning · Time & attendance

How a project runs

Survey to handover

The survey is what establishes which doors are worth controlling.

01

Survey

Doors, traffic, existing hardware and who needs to pass where.

02

Design

Access points, credential type and permission structure specified.

03

Install

Controllers, readers and door hardware fitted and wired.

04

Configure

Permissions, schedules and records set up with your team.

05

Handover

Staff shown how to add, revoke and audit access.

Shop

Access control equipment

Access hardware is specified per door, so these route to a quote rather than direct checkout.

Power the systems your property depends on.

Cameras, recorders and access controllers draw continuous power — and they fail exactly when the supply does. We design the energy side too, so they stay up.

Common questions

What buyers ask us

Card, keypad or biometric?

It depends on the door and the traffic through it. Biometrics suit high-security doors with modest traffic; cards suit busy entrances; keypads suit low-traffic internal doors. Most properties end up with a mix.

Can I revoke access for one person?

Yes — that is the main advantage over keys. Access is granted and revoked per credential, per door, without changing anything physical.

Does it record who entered?

Yes. Every controlled passage is logged, which is what makes the system useful after an incident as well as during normal operation.

Can it handle staff attendance?

Yes. Time and attendance capture can use the same credentials people already use to get through the door.

What happens if the power fails?

Door behaviour on power loss is a design decision, made per door with safety and egress in mind, and confirmed during the survey.
