Energy solutions

A system is only as good as the installation behind it

The equipment matters less than people expect. What determines whether a system works for years is how it was assessed, wired, configured and handed over.

Why it matters

The failures we get called out to are rarely product failures

Most systems that disappoint were not sold the wrong equipment. They were assessed carelessly, wired without regard for load, configured at factory defaults and handed over with a manual instead of an explanation.

Sunnovate installs what it designs. The engineers who specify the system are the ones who fit it, which is why commissioning problems get solved on the day rather than handed between contractors.

Safety — correct isolation, protection and earthing

Reliability — wiring and configuration matched to actual load

Proper setup — configured for your system, not left at defaults

Long-term operation — handover that explains how to run and read it

Before installation

From enquiry to agreed specification

Nothing is ordered until this stage is complete and you have agreed the specification.

01

Enquiry

You tell us the property and roughly what you run, by phone, WhatsApp or the system finder.

02

Site assessment

An engineer visits, measures load and checks roof space, shading and cable routes.

03

Load understanding

What must stay on, for how long, and which circuits are critical.

04

System design

Array, inverter, storage, mounting and protection specified together.

05

Quotation

A price for that exact specification, set out so you can compare it.

On site

Installation and commissioning

What actually happens once the specification is agreed.

Preparation

Access, mounting points, cable routes and isolation arranged before equipment arrives.

Equipment installation

Array, inverter and storage mounted and secured to suit the building.

Wiring

Cabling, protection and isolation installed for the load the system will actually carry.

Configuration

Inverter and storage parameters set for your system rather than left at factory defaults.

Testing

System checks under load before anyone signs anything off.

Handover

We show you how to operate the system and how to read what it is telling you.

After handover

Maintenance and ongoing support

Systems drift. Connections loosen, panels get dirty, batteries age and configurations occasionally need revisiting as demand changes.

Maintenance and support arrangements are available for both energy and security installations. Tell us what is installed and we will confirm what an arrangement would cover for your system.

Support for systems we designed and installed

Configuration review as your demand changes

Where a property needs both, a single survey covers both — and the security load sits on the backup path from the start.

Common questions

What buyers ask us

Do you install systems you did not supply?

Tell us what is installed and what you need done. Whether we can take it on depends on the equipment and how it was originally fitted, and we will say plainly if we cannot.

How long does an installation take?

It varies with system size, roof type and whether existing wiring needs work. We confirm the schedule after the site assessment, once the specification is agreed.

What happens at commissioning?

The system is tested under load, configuration is set for your installation, and we walk you through operating and monitoring it before handover is complete.

Is the site assessment chargeable?

Tell us about the property when you enquire and we will confirm what the assessment involves for your situation before anything is scheduled.

What maintenance does a system need?

It depends on the equipment and how hard it is worked. We will set out what applies to your specific installation rather than quote a generic schedule.
