What personal information Sunnovate collects through this website, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website is operated by Sunnovate Energy Systems (“Sunnovate”, “we”, “us”), 1 Otigba Street, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. We are responsible for the personal information collected through it. This policy is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

Enquiries and survey requests: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, property type, area and anything you tell us in your message or survey answers.

Orders: billing and delivery details, the items you order and your order history if you create an account.

Payments: card and bank details are entered directly on Paystack’s secure checkout. They are never sent to or stored by Sunnovate.

System finder answers: these are processed in your browser to produce the indicative result. They only reach us if you choose to send them, for example by WhatsApp or the contact form.

Technical information: the cookies needed to run the cart, checkout and account pages, and standard server logs used to keep the site secure.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a site assessment and prepare a quote.

To process, deliver and support your order or installation.

To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

To keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent when you send an enquiry, on contract when we process an order or installation, on legal obligation for records we must keep, and on our legitimate interests in running and securing the website.

Who we share it with

Paystack, to take payments securely.

Our website hosting and email providers, who store and deliver information on our behalf.

Delivery partners or installers, only where they need it to complete your order.

Public authorities, where the law requires us to.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, Meta’s own terms and privacy policy also apply. The map on our contact page is provided by Google and may set its own cookies when it loads.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Cookies

We use essential cookies that make the cart, checkout and account pages work. These cannot be switched off without breaking those features. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. The website runs over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry and order information is limited to the people who need it to serve you.
