What it does
An inverter converts DC from your panels and battery into the AC your appliances use, and decides moment to moment whether to draw from solar, storage or the grid.
It also does the switching fast enough that nothing in the building notices. When an inverter is wrong for a property, the symptom is rarely subtle: it trips under load, or it never lets the battery charge properly.
Converts and regulates power from array, battery and grid
Switches sources without interrupting what you are running
Protects the battery bank from over-discharge
Reports system state so faults are visible early
Sizing
Five inputs, considered together. None of them is the price you had in mind.
The most you might draw at one moment — everything that could realistically run together.
What each appliance draws continuously, and for how many hours a day.
Compressors, pumps and motors draw several times their running current at startup.
A house occupied all day behaves differently from one empty until evening.
Adding air conditioning later is far cheaper if the inverter was chosen with it in mind.
Battery voltage, array size and single or three phase all constrain the choice.
Single or three phase
Specified against your supply, not assumed.
Hybrid capable
Solar, battery and grid managed by one unit.
Surge headroom
Sized so motor startup does not trip the system.
Battery matched
Voltage and chemistry confirmed before order.
Shop
Energy equipment is specified and quoted per property rather than sold off the shelf, because the rating has to match your measured load.
System finder
The system finder works out inverter capacity from the appliances you select and the backup hours you ask for — including the surge headroom your heaviest motor needs.
Sized from appliances, not guesswork

Common questions
It depends on your peak connected load and your heaviest starting load, not on the size of your house. The system finder estimates both from the appliances you select, and a site assessment confirms it.
Almost always because it was rated for running current rather than starting current. Motors and compressors draw several times their rated draw for a moment at startup, and an inverter without that headroom shuts down to protect itself.
One unit that manages solar, battery and grid together, deciding which source to draw from and handling the switching. It replaces the separate charge controller and changeover arrangement that older setups used.
Often, yes — but the inverter has to match the bank’s voltage and chemistry. Send us your existing setup and we will confirm the match before you order, including if the answer is that it is not compatible.
Yes, where the site requires it. Whether you need one is determined by your supply and your equipment, and is confirmed during the assessment.
The same team that designs your power system installs the cameras, access control and fire detection that protect it — specified together, on one backup path.
